Inspiration
This is titled inspiration because of this young gentleman I met last week.
It is probably one of the most inspirational stories I've ever covered.
Meet Andrew Joseph Snitko-he's better known as A.J.
Last week he graduated from Bob Jones High School.
See Andrew didn't just get a diploma he walked across the stage to get it.
A.J. was born with a mild form of Cerebral Palsy. When he was 8 a rare nueromuscular movment disorder called Dystonia took over his body. After a number of surgeries to ease some of A.J.'s pain from the muscles spasms the disorder causes-A.J.'s goal was to walk at his graduation.
A.J. got a standing ovation from his class. It was truely moving to see him walk across the stage. He was so happy and so was his family. They are great people. A.J. is planning on going to college at U.A.H., he'll be studying Bio-Medical Engineering. A.J. plans to walk across the stage to get his degree-but without help from his walker.
GO A.J.! You're an awesome person. So glad I was able to meet you-you're such an inspiration. P.S. A.J.'s favorite team is the Greenbay Packers....
