Another Baby

I didn't get this posted in time.
I have a niece now. Lillian Jo Stuart was born October 19th. I have only got to see her on webcam. My brother and sister in laws live all the way in Minnesota.
The webcam is awesome. She is a beautiful baby. I'll post pictures soon.
I just wanted to say Welcome to the world Baby Girl.

Halloween

Today is Halloween. We had a costume contest here at the station. There were some interesting costumes. This is a blurry picture of just a few of the fabulous costumes.
I dressed up as a reporter who works for WHNT. That's what most of us on-air folks did, dressed up as ourselves. We can't put on a crazy costume and expect viewers to take us serious.
In the Halloween spirit- I will hand out candy tonight to all the little kids in the neighborhood. I didn't carve a pumpkin this year, but I did buy one. My husband and I ran out of time.

Crazy Stories

I know it has been a very long time since I've blogged.
There have been some interesting stories out there. We had school lock downs this week. A man is accused of threatening to bring a weapon to two schools and do harm. Parents rushed to Owens Crossroads School and New Hope High School to get their children from the schools. I truely understand that. If I had children, I don't, I would get to that school as soon as possible-to get my babies home.
Before the lockdowns a kid allegedly threatened to bring a gun to school. This all in the week of shootings at schools across the country.
It's awful that things like this happen in schools where children should be safe. I just hope schools don't have to become prisons.
