Peanut Butter Recall-Dum-Dum-Dum

Peanut, Peanut Butter and Jelly! Yea! That's the song we've been singing in the newsroom. As most of us realized we all had a jar of the recalled peanut butter in our pantries at home.
Well guess what? So did I. As a matter of fact I ate a whole bunch of it yesterday going down the road to a story. Didn't even think about it being the recalled Peterpan 2111 peanut butter. OOPS, I ate the peanut butter again and again....
Nope, I didn't get sick with Salmonella. My jar must not have been contaminated. My husband and I aren't taking any chances though we canned the jar-no Peter Pan in the house anymore we're going to get a jar with a new product code, maybe oraganic peanut butter. Will that make your tongue stick to the roof of your mouth?

Valentine's Day

This is my sweetie! (these are old pictures, except for the flowers) Look what he delivered to my desk this morning before I got to work-a bouquet of flowers. Aw! How sweet. He's very good at buying presents.
Kevin, left home this morning and told me he had an early morning appointment at work-NOT-he had to deliver my flowers. When I got to work I couldn't believe flowers were already on my desk. I called him and he said he brought them because he wanted me to have them when I got here. That's because as a reporter it may be the last time I'm in the building until it's time to go home. Smart thinking there honey. You score bonus points for that one. Happy Valentine's Day Baby, I love you.

Brady & Lillian's Latest Pics

Look at these pictures of my niece Lillian and nephew Brady. They're precious. I just can't believe how fast they're growing up. She's almost 4 months now. Brady will be a year in March. They are growing like weeds.
Brady has some teeth now, and some food in his mouth...and proud of it!
Lillian is still working on her chompers. They are too cute. I know you all would agree.

49th Grammy Awards

I'm a little disappointed over this year's awards. Not because of who won but who didn't.

Of course the big surprise of the night for me, maybe not for the rest of the music industry, the Dixie Chicks. Wow, I didn't expect them to sweep just about every category.

My disappointment, Corrine Bailey Rae, I went into the awards pulling for my girl Corrine. She walked away empty handed. So what girlfriend you had a fabulous performance with John Legend and John Mayer (Best Pop Vocal Album). Stevie Wonder thought so too. These three performers are smokin hot. They are here for the duration.

I had hoped to say Corrine Bailey Rae won Best New Artist that went to Carrie Underwood who I also love. She looked fabulous last night performing alongside Rascal Flatts-she only gets better each time I see her. I loved that green dress she wore when she was paying tribute to Bob Wills.

Now let's talk about performances Gnarls Barkley. Strange. I didn't expect anything different. I liked their pilot costume performance of 'Crazy'. It was a little crazy. If you've ever gone to their website you'll see they're a little eccentric, and of course their c-d is proof of that. I of course love their music. No complaints here. My favorite from this performance the chewing gum Gnarls Barkley was chewing.

I loved all of the rest of the performers I was just busy around the house doing things. So they didn't have my full attention. I'll just be honest. So hats off to the winners and better luck to the nominees next year.

Achievement

Yea, another Saturday score. This morning I landed a pose. One, I landed many years ago. I just had gotten out of practice. A back bend-or in Yoga terms the Wheel. I'm so excited.
So I'm like upside down. My instructor is walking by not looking at me, so I whisper screamed at her TASHA LOOK.
It was funny.
Basically, a back bend is when you lay on the floor on your back and push up with your hands and feet at the same time and round out your spine pushing your stomach towards the ceiling.
Hey no back hand springs or back tucks. I don't think I'll ever be there again. Nor do I think I want to. You never know...I'll keep you posted.

Big Boy!

O.K. I have been wanting to post this one for a while. During Christmas vacation on the way to Michigan we stopped at a Big Boy's Shoney's Restaurant in Ohio. My sister and I had to get our picture made with the big boy. Hey Rick and Bubba, (Rick and Bubba Show), it's just like the one that used to be on Big Boy Bluff!

Yoga On Saturday!

That's my totally awesome Yoga instructor Tasha. She has a full class on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday's.
Now I must say Yoga is the reason people come to the class, Tasha is why they keep coming back. She is an inspiration to all of her students, including me!
If you haven't ever tried Yoga, I encourage you to get out there and do it. It's not hard. You work up to the hard stuff. You'll feel like a new person when you walk out of the room. You'll have a new frame of a mind to face the world.
Have a great weekend.
And get stretching...
