Vacation and Birthdays

I'm back from the beach and a little older.
Getting older isn't always fun. This birthday especially was different. I'm not telling my age, but I will say everybody likes to say they're this age forever.
It was kind of weird turning this age. I had forgotten it was my birthday until my husband, Kevin, reminded me by telling me, Happy Birthday. Well thank you very much.
I wanted to thank everyone who got me nice presents and called to wish me Happy Birthday. It made my day a beautiful one.
So I guess next year will be easier????

Hi Amber,

Happy birthday! Thanks for doing the story on the fireworks. Most people do have common sense, watch the news and/or read the paper, so will probably refrain from shooting off firecrackers until the grass doesn't crunch under their feet. Unfortumately there are many here who are clueless and will put themselves plus their neighbors at risk shooting off fireworks this year. They just don't understand how easily a fire can happen and get out of control. The state of Alabama is being very irresponsible in allowing the sale of any fireworks (except for licensed organized displays) and not putting a major effort into enforcing the ban until the drought is over. It could end up being both an expensive and tragic mistake should the worst happen. Let's hope it doesn't.

Thanks again.
